Lost Filling

If a filling breaks and comes out, as long as there is no pain or significant temperature sensitivity it should be scheduled for replacement or repair, but there is usually a low likelihood of it becoming worse in the short term. Avoid chewing on that side, consider a temporary filling paste if you are unable to get to the dentist immediately.

If it is painful, very sensitive to temperature, or worsening you should contact your dentist immediately. A temporary filling paste from the pharmacy my help relieve symptoms if it will be a while before your appointment.
